Developer Newsletter: London meetup, Fast Forward 2022, and composable architecture
Hello friends!
We've been (and will continue to be) attending and sponsoring conferences around the world. So far, we’ve been everywhere from San Francisco to the Netherlands and on Oct. 26, we’ll be in London hosting a developer meetup. If you’re in the area, stop by! We’d love to connect in person.
In content this month, we’ve published several resources to help you learn about composable content, content design, and our Images API. Continue reading for links and additional details on all of the above!
Contentful corner
Always look your best: WebP, source sets, and the Contentful Images API
Take a deep dive into WebP. Discover the benefits of using it, how it compares to other image formats, and how the Contentful Images API brings things together. Read the post.
Composable architecture and the power of customization
Learn about composable architecture, the benefits and challenges of using it, and how it can be used to build customization solutions for your Contentful users using Contentful. Learn more.
What is content design: the art of context and the science of usability
Content design is a rapidly growing concentration within tech. David Banks, formerly Contentful's Director of Content Marketing, defines the term and supplements it with an explanation of content design’s most important elements and where it fits with other content-centric disciplines. Here's the lowdown.

Events
Come meet us in the UK! After a long break, we’re hosting a developer meetup in London on 26 October.
The evening will begin with a round of lightning talks followed by deeper dives into targeted topics. There will also be a watch party for Fast Forward Live where we’ll announce exciting new updates, products, and more. RSVP for the London event on Meetup or Guild.
We’re also sponsoring React Advanced London on 21 October — if you’re there, come say hi! Then on 7 and 8 November we’ll be in San Francisco at the Jamstack Conf. Pop by our booth to grab a pair of our infamously comfy (and stylish) Contentful socks!
In past events, Contentful Developer Advocate Harshil Agrawal chatted with Cloudinary about his project GitHub Wrap and Brittany Walker (me!) gave a live demo of Contentful at Vue JS Forge.
Last but not least, join us live on Twitch Tuesdays at 11 a.m. ET/5 p.m. CET for our Contentful developer livestreams. We’ll be building fun projects live, testing new Contentful features, and interviewing cool people. We’d love to connect!
As always, be sure to visit our developer events page to stay up to date on future events.
