Fair Use Policy (Legacy, 2018)

Fair use limits for on-demand and committed subscriptions
Introduction
This Fair Use Policy (FUP) forms an integral part of the Contentful Terms of Service between you and Contentful GmbH that govern your use of Contentful software and services. Terms used but not defined below, shall have the meaning outlined in the Contentful Terms of Service. If you do not agree with this FUP, do not use any Contentful software or services. The limits outlined below apply solely to plans from April 16, 2018 to July 13, 2020, while prior plans are subject to legacy fair use policies.
Utility limits
Micro, Small, Medium, and Large spaces types include the following limits:

Performance 1x, Performance 2x, and Performance 3x space types include the following limits:

The API and Bandwidth quotas listed above are measured on a monthly basis and reset to zero on the first day of each new period. For example, if you signed up on a 15th, your usage period is set to be from 15th to 15th of a calendar month.
Extra API calls will be billed at $5/1,000,000 API calls/month. Extra asset bandwidth consumption will be billed at $65/1 TB/month. Contentful does not set a cap on extra API calls and asset bandwidth your organization can consume. Note that utility limits can only be exceeded if your organization has a valid credit card on record.
On-demand tier limits
On-demand organizations can purchase additional spaces and users directly on the marketing website or on the subscription page, located under the organizational settings of the web app. On-demand tier includes the following limits:

Committed tier limits
Organizations with committed contracts can purchase additional spaces and users directly on the marketing website, on the subscription page, located under the organizational settings of the web app, or by contacting a dedicated account manager. There are no limits on the maximum number of spaces/users on the committed tier:

Technical limits
Please note that use of Contentful is subject to system limits, imposed to ensure uninterrupted functioning of the service infrastructure. These limits are listed in the technical limits section of the developer documentation.
If your service usage exceeds the limits listed above, we reserve the right to take corrective action, including but not limited to the throttling of the service API, temporarily suspending or - when other options are unavailable - terminating your account.
