About the opportunity

Contentful is looking for an experienced marketing leader to manage our Demand Generation function. This role will be responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and execution of our demand creation and demand capture efforts across all customer segments.

Your team will drive all stages of offer development and campaign planning from initial concept through to measurement and optimization. In this highly collaborative role you will work with leaders from Field Marketing, Content Marketing, Product Marketing, Brand Experience to bring thoughtful and cohesive customer journeys to market and partner with our growth channel and analytics teams to maximize campaign performance.

You have a track record of successfully managing complex processes across multiple teams, and cultivating productive collaboration with various stakeholders to craft industry-leading demand gen campaigns. You use insights and feedback from across the organization to inform your team’s experimentation roadmap and leverage a test-learn-iterate framework to improve performance. You are both analytical and customer-minded in your approach.

What to Expect

  • Lead a team of marketers responsible for creating demand and generating pipeline
  • Own the demand generation strategy, roadmap, and processes
  • Collaborate with leaders across our Marketing team to establish a demand gen plan that allows us to achieve our funnel goals
  • Create process, structure, and documentation that enables your team to scale their impact and operate effectively
  • Partner with growth channel teams across Web, Paid Media, Lifecycle to drive campaign launches
  • Engage with the Field team to coordinate the handoff of leads sourced from campaigns and create integrated customer journeys through the full funnel
  • Align with Marketing Ops to ensure tracking and processes are in place to ensure campaigns are successfully executed
  • Partner with Marketing Analytics to develop measurement plans for campaigns and deliver campaign insights
  • Own campaign followthrough including recommendations for next steps to optimize performance or iterate for future campaigns

What you need to be successful

  • 8-10 years of experience building marketing programs and running demand generation campaigns, with at least 2 years of experience managing a team of marketing professionals
  • Track record of delivering demand generation campaigns that drove pipeline
  • Highly collaborative approach to working with stakeholders across both creative, performance marketing, and technical functions
  • Excellent communication skills that allow you to create clear briefing documents and comprehensive documentation
  • A customer-first mindset that allows you to craft thoughtful journeys across touchpoints
  • Analytical aptitude and the ability to take action based on campaign performance to iterate and improve
  • Success building teams and developing marketers, preferably in a growth company environment
